So I'm just curious--are there still any subspecialties of psych where you can get board certified just by taking a test? Or do all require a fellowship now?

the only one that hasn't been round long enough that you can still grandfather into is brain injury medicine. (yes apparently this is now a subspecialty!) child, addiction, forensic, geriatric, psychosomatics, sleep, pain, and hospice and palliative medicine fellowships have been now around sufficient that you cannot grandfather into by the time you finish residency.

Well then we should start developing some new subspecialties.

What about neuropsychiatry? There are fellowships in that and isn't it scheduled to become an official subspecialty soon?
