So I made a thread asking about iPADs vs Surface tablets for dental school, and I received a bunch of really great suggestions! However, after your suggestions and some of my own research, I think it might be beneficial to make a poll that includes the iPAD, Surface, and Samsung ATIV 500T (and other).

I'd love to hear your opinion!! Thanks!

P.S. For the sake of finding the "best tablet", let's assume that price is not an issue.

i purchased galaxy note 10.1 and am very satisfied with it 🙂
really love its multiscreen function

Same with menthol !

Samsung galaxy note 10.1 is the best. I love my pen.

I have a great iPad app that lets me import powerpoint presentations that I can write on by hand with a stylus. I hate typing notes in the powerpoint, I know a lot of people who prefer it but I'm not a fan and I also hate printing off slides, too much paper and the slides are too small when you have several on a page. It has worked well for me for the past two years

get the one with the most battery life.

THe surface pro is really good but the battery life is terrible and Ipad is limited but great battery life. At the end of the day, you don't want your device running out of battery. Without any battery you are just carrying a brick around.

I'm not sure about the other device's battery life so I will just keep it at surface vs ipad.

Surface pro is running an i5 so it's nor particular fair to compare it to an iPad. That said, the Wacom Digitizer in the Surface Pro is leaps and bounds better than any other on the market in tablet form (including the Note 10.1). Your other option that may be cheaper is to just buy a graphics tablet if you only want to take notes and are fine with reviewing ppts on a lappy. Monoprice has some really good ones for cheaps (50-70 bucks depending on size).

ipad for iphone users, note 10.1 for android users.

i would skip on the ms tablet offering for the time being personally
