Which Volunteering Type should I do?

Hey Guys!

I have the option of volunteering at some local public schools as an advisor or volunteer at work with community-based organizations on projects to improve the well-being of children and families in Detroit.

Which one would be more impressive; I like both of them but cannot do both due to time constraints.
I heard dental schools like individuals who participate in the community so I'm leaning toward the Detroit one.

don't go for more impressive. go for the one that interests you more, so you can talk about it passionately during interviews. both options involve participating in the community

I completely with ringofkeys. I had my committee interview today and I talked about my volunteer work very passionately and the interviewers said they really liked that. So I wouldn't go for which is more impressive.
