This poll is for pharmacists who are currently practicing or have worked as pharmacists before. I have been asked by other RPhs about this question and want to know what more RPh's think.

Disclaimer: I am not been paid by any corporates to conduct this poll so that they can start to work on firing all the fulltime RPh's in SoCal or major metropolitan areas and replacing them with part-time ones with no 401K or medical benefits.

because if a RPh work > 24 hr, the most likely next step would be 32 hr/wk, which will entitle him or her to fulltime status and benefits, at least in California.

Well, for those of us who live in other states, we might just prefer working 30ish hours than full time. I am interviewing for one such job in a few weeks. Benefits are not an issue for me.

Great, I am sure your interview won't go awkward.

It depends on students loans:

(1) If student loans more than $50,000: move and work 40 hours a week
(2) If student loans less than $50,000: stay close to friends and family and work 24 hours a week

BTW, companies are doing this so they don't have to give benefits to pharmacists which would add 30% of a pharmacist salary. Even the ones who are working full time, their benefits have been cut (i.e. no 401 k matching until they have worked for 2 years; no vacation time until they have worked for a year, etc.). That's the new normal.

Depends on the circumstances in question, duh!

People, please, it's Sunday and raining outside.... I am not conducting a professional poll and trying to publish a paper here.
