While in med do you still do childish things ?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
It is if it overtakes other activities. You never hear of people who bake too much. But there are people who game too much -- not eating right, not getting enough exercise, etc.
There are people that drink too much too, should we say drinking in general has a negative connotation since some people do it irresponsibly?

Meme fail. smh. Why does it show up properly in the preview but when I hit post / save changes it doesn't? The site must be blocked on SDN or something? Oh well.

It was super clever and totally thought-provoking at the same time.

Anything done in excess is bad.... that's not what we're talking about here.

And of course you hear about people who bake too much. They become bakers.

Yes, as a career to sell their baked goods. One done in excess isn't as deleterious as gaming excessively.

It might have had a curse word in it. You can also copy the image and paste it in your post.

I prob game too much lol. I have to set hard limits on myself when med school is in session.

It's prob the most fun thing in my life, though, so I don't think I'll get rid of it completely (until it comes time to study for STEP-1).

Eh, I'm a League of Legends player currently with a Diamond V ranking. I don't play any and all video games, I just play one game, that's it. Few years ago I played Halo, Halo 2, and Halo 3 then switched to LoL. I just like playing a game that's competitive so I can relieve some of my competitive nature (i'm an extreeeemely competitive person).

The only problem with LoL is it's a time suck, trying to quit before med school starts.

As much as I love video games, I kinda think it is "childish hobby" to have once you are out of high school. Le sigh.

That game...it really is more of a stress creator, not a stress reliever.

Every ELO I've ever been at is ELO hell . lol i haven't played league in a few months and now feel 0 desire to play it. strange.

I gave up on LoL - got tired of people leaving 3 min into a match cause "it's norms lols" and other irritating behavior. It sucks essentially being stuck in a match for at least 30 min (taking into account match finding, setting teams, etc.) and not having fun. If you're just gunna play for a couple of hours (maybe 4-5 games), I want to make sure I actually have fun doing so.

I've been playing Eve for about a week now. Definitely not conducive to med school since it's such a time sink, but I figured I'd have the time during MS4 to get into it. Really enjoying it so far.

I play CS GO. This summer I have clocked in 100's of hours... It seems like not being able to play most of the past year during M1 has made me want to play more. I cannot imagine that once I get into residency I will have much time to play anymore though... So for me I won't be quitting because it's immature but because I won't have the time

Mainly on Dota 2 right now cause of TI4. Dabbled in LoL for a small period of time b/c my friend tried to switch to Dota 2 but was turrible. Also CS:GO until a couple months ago, and a couple indie single player games here and there.

I love dota 2

I've been crushing noobs in clash of clans. It was bad though I was raiding like crazy when I had to study

Glad to see some dota fans here. Hundreds of thousands of people from all around the world coming together to watch the best players compete for a 5 million dollar prize (the yearly championship is going on right now). Pretty cool.

Check out that documentary to get an idea of how big esports is getting, from a dota perspective. Great watch.
