This is kinda a dumb question, but how do I know what size white coat I wear? I got this form from SLU telling me to pick a size, from 32-50. So from what I've heard, is it the same as like a regular coat size for guys? I'm a female so I have no idea what these numbers mean. So how do I know what size I wear? Is it your chest size?

Try to get a long coat, that way you'll look like a house officer. = )

Yes, it is you chest size. I might be going to SLU too, I would also like to know your chest size and cup size.j/k😀

If I remember correctly, I think they told us one size bigger than your suit or chest size. Either way, you can always switch if there is a problem.

This may sound really dumb, but you could always go in to a local suit retailer (mens warehouse etc.) or a tux rental shop and ask... "If I were a guy what size jacket would I wear?"

They would probably look at you kinda weird and when you told them you were gonna be a doc and needed it for your lab coat they would love it and be more than willing to help. Probably even bring out some coats for you to try on.

good luck.

there's an easier way - go into a medical supply store that sells lab coats and try on a bunch until you find a size that's comfy. Definitely don't go too small, but a hair too big is OK.

lol - you guys are funny.
get a tape measure and measure round your chest, running the tape measure through under your arm pits. but definately give it some slack... tight ass jackets really arent that cool, plus they're all short on your arms and it looks like you're brothers jacket 😳

go a little bigger than your chest circumference. I wear a 41 jacket size (men's), but I wear a 43 white coat size. It's definitely better to get bigger than smaller.
