I am looking into buying a whiteboard so that I can work some problems on it to get a feel for it. I want one that is as close in dimensions as the real deal. Does anybody know if there is a set standard on the one they give you for the test, if not can you give me a ballpark on the size you had for the test? Thanks a lot!

I think it varies depending on testing center. I assume the standard whiteboard, however, is about the size of a piece of paper (8.5x11)

It's not a whiteboard. From what I can remember, the testing center gave me two pink laminated sheets of slightly smaller than 8.5"x11" paper. I think they may have had grids drawn on them. Additionally, they provided two fine tipped markers that didn't work so well. Make sure you cap them during the exam or they become useless fast.

Grid Yellow dry erase paper. Exactly the same size as a regular printer paper. 🙂

You might be able to make your own with the right laminating material. But I grabbed a couple of these since I was ordering something else anyway. $2.

you should call the center where you are gonna take it and ask them what they use.

I was given two pink, laminated sheets with a grid on them, regular printer paper size. Two black markers with fine tips, and an eraser shaped like a mouse, which I confused with the actual mouse twice 😀.

Yup, they consensus seems to be regular paper with a grid that has been laminated. That is also what I had.

For people who have taken the DAT:

Do they also supply you with pencil/scratch paper or is it only the dry erase board and markers?

if you want test like paper. block off like the top 1/4 of the sheets. Prometric feels the need to advertise and/or write a bunch of useless stuff on each sheet.
