Thought it would be interesting to see what programs you all interviewed at but decided not to rank for whatever reasons (sucked, location, bad interview). For me:
Nebraska(location)
Miami(not enough resident exposure on interview day)

Thought hard about dropping a few. In the end, I was surprised to find that I would be happy at every prog. The scramble will be an impossibility this year, IMHO...

I would have thought twice about Miami because of this reason, had I not done an away there. One more spot open for me. Thanks! Oh and I am ranking all my programs.

I almost didn't rank two programs, not telling anyone until after match day. But I am with Dre, the only thing scrambling in Anesthesia this year will be my breakfast burrito eggs.

cornell--I was not impressed. Rather, I was disappointed.

UC Davis--hated sacramento and was not feeling the residents or staff at all.

UMDNJ - RWJ

didn't get any kind of impression from this program. interviewed on a Saturday. minimal resident exposure prior to interviews, no information packet, no formal presentation or overview, not even the forms that i had to sign at every other interview (copy of resident contract, etc.). i don't need some gimmick like a tote bag (thanks UF for that $600 consolation prize 😛 ) but some form of printed information about the program helps.

seemed like a decent enough program, but i could not get the pulse of the place, even after five interviews. "Any questions?" - "Yeah can you tell me *anything* about your program???"

In the end I decided none of the places I interviewed moved me like the CCF. From the first to the last person I met I knew that place was for me, loved the people, loved the philosophy, loved the size, loved the midwest, loved the diversity.

Good luck to everyone.

In the North Atlantic, when you're 500 miles from land in the dead of winter, you only have two options when your submarine starts flooding:

1) Stop the flooding
2) Sink
