who got into a cali school with <32 MCATs and out of state?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I think you'll have a better chance of finding sasquatch than what you're looking for, but I could be wrong.

If you are referring to a UC fuhgettaboudit! Very difficult to find one of those.

But there may be some at Stanford, USC and Loma Linda since those schools have no state preferences.

Out of state....below 32 mcat...no acceptance but waitlist at UCSF

im not even a US citizen or permanent resident of the US and i got an interview at UCLA with less than 32.

There are no out-of-state profiles on mdapplicants.com that have acceptances at the UC medical schools with <32 MCATs. There's only a handful off <32 MCAT acceptances to begin with.

MDapplicants.com has an insufficient database and therefore is not yet an appropriate indicator for premeds.

ucla and ucsf are the only uc's that really give out of staters a better chance compared to the other uc's. the other uc's are practically 100% cali residents. so if you are an out of stater and want to go to cali your best bets are those 2 uc's and of course the privates(usc, stanford, and loma linda) i'd say you have a better shot at the privates compared to ucla or ucsf as an out of stater.

No, it's hardly authoritative, but there are:
UC Davis: 15 interviewed, 0 out-of-state <32 MCAT
UC Irvine: 21 interviewed, 0 out-of-state <32 MCAT
UCLA: 30 interviewed, 2 out-of-state <32 MCAT
UC San Diego: 27 interviewed, 0 out-of-state <32 MCAT
UCSF: 31 interviewed, 1 out-of-state <32 MCAT

Although there's likely overlap in the application pools to those schools, it's overwhelmingly suggestive that out-of-state applicants with <32 MCATs are not the most competitive at the UC medical schools. Heck, the 50 profiles that didn't receive interviews at UCSF have an average 33 MCAT and 3.69 GPA.

i have a good friend from cal with a very high gpa but a 28 on mcat. Interviewed at UCSF, Davis, LA, and SD. She got into Davis and SD and waitlist for SF (but eventually did not get into SF). She's a first year at Davis now. Other factors may make up for low mcat score.

I don't think any one will dipute you about more than MCATs being important, theres tons of cases about it, but the OP wanted to know about people not from cal getting in, not people from cal getting in. And if she's at UCD first year, then shes not an out of stater, unless she's the one girl that did her undergrad at texas but grew up in ca.
