Hi, I was wondering who sees your app besides the admissions committee.

For example, do writers for your references get to see your application? Or do they only see the "prompt" for their submission?

Thank you in advance to those who answer!

Other than all adcoms and reviewers at the school, interviewers may or may not have access to your application, depending on the style of interview (open or closed).

References do not get to see any part of your application. I am unsure if this applies to AMCAS, but my pre-health advisor had complete access to my TMDSAS application and is even able to see things I was unable to (like when schools have looked at my application). I granted this access, though, as part of the process of obtaining a committee packet.

Ah, okay. So, my school doesn't do committee packets or letters. So no references or pre-health advisors will see my app?

The only one that may is your pre-health advisor if you declare them as your advisor. Again, I'm not certain if it applies to AMCAS, too, because I did not discuss those apps with my advisor and it's been some time since filling out the applications.

It's always a good idea to have multiple eyeballs vet your app.

Is there something about your app that you don't want others to see???
Got it. Oh no, I was just curious about how references fill out their answers. I knew they were sent a "form" when we submit, but I wasn't sure if that included our app, too.

References get a form?
By "form" I meant what they fill out for their answers (what they are sent when we submit them on our app as references). I'm not sure what it looks like or what it's formally called.

I am not sure who you mean by "references"

-if you are referring to writers of the Letter of Evaluation/Recommendation, which would better be described as recommenders or simply letter writers, the form that the applicants sends to letter writers to ask for a letter to be submitted to AMCAS simply generates an AAMC Letter ID. The form is not submitted to AMCAS only the letter. And only the letters, not any form, are sent from AMCAS to the schools.

-If you are referring to the contacts listed for work and activities, there is no form that they need to fill out
Oh okay, thank you for correcting me! I did mean recommenders. My original question was if that form they are sent includes my application. Most of the people I want to write my recommendations are people I want to look at my app so, I wasn't sure if they'd see it that way.
