Hi all,
I am trying to figure out who/where to turn to for advice on possible reapplication strategies, but I feel lost. I was not a pre-med during undergrad, and graduated from the college of agriculture at a large state university (Ag and Medical Biotech degree, luckily got all the required pre-med courses through this). I reached out to my undergrad university, and they refuse to provide any support/advising for me now that I have graduated. I am a 3rd year NIH postbac IRTA (got an exception d/t change of career plans), but the pre-med advisors here are over-burdened with students (especially with the government changes) and only can provide a single 20 minute meeting once a month. I have thought about paying for a third party advisor, but am worried its going to be formulaic advice that honestly won't apply to my weird non-trad but kinda trad situation. Does anyone have experience with third party pre-med advising that doesn't feel formulaic?
Thanks in advance 🙂 Hopefully I can still get in this cycle and it won't matter... but planning is how I cope in times of uncertainty.
