this place is awesome if you're curious about the field of surgery!!! it even has transcriptions of each surgery so you can follow along in text...simply amazing!

Discovery Health channel has many shows that are medically informative and interesting, though they dont go into detail on the OR procedures.

Checkout complex thoracoabdominal aneurysm by Dr. Safi from Houston, TX. As a displaced Tulane student, I had the pleasure of working under Dr. Safi in CV surgery for one month. This guy is great and cracked me up, MY FRIEND, during my time there. Also, if you watch the video, what sounds like "sonometer" is how they're pronouncing centimeter.

Same here. Which is why it's more fun to watch these things in person...

No thanks, I am watching a corotid artery procedure! OR-Live sends me the "surgery reminders."

that is a sweet link. my sister did her residency and morristown memorial and i did all of my volunteer hours there, good to see it represented on a NIH website.

👍

Gman, that's pretty sweet!!! Thanks for the link.

cool! Now I can indulge myself.

This is so cool! A total time-suck at work. I'm thinking about getting VNS (under the "brain" heading) and now I can watch one 🙂

Yeah I get a kick out of the "sontimeter" thing. Lots of them say it that way, weirdos. Reminds me of my british physics teacher who said "alumin-ium"
