It says nothing about Obama and his vision, just that people are frustrated with Republican phonies and see the alternative as someone willing to give tons of handouts...that's not a vision, it's happy socialism hyped with oratory pomp. People aren't through with conservatism--the country is still center / center-right, and the BALLOT initiatives prove it ...the presidential election was just a moratorium on Republican goons.
PEFECT example: California, of all places, REVERSED same sex marriage act 52%-47%...that's a center / center-right belief, and regardless if Obama was technically opposed to same-sex marriage, his party receives overwhelming support from the gay community.
And sexylady, seriously I'm so sick have having to try to explain this to people, look at the tax brackets before Bush and after...everyone got a break...just becuase top income earners KEPT more of their money (becuase they're PAYING disproportionately more) doesn't mean it was a cut ONLY for the "top 5%."
Would it be fair if the bottom 40% paid no taxes and the top 10% paid nearly all federal income taxes? Oh wait...we already have that.
It's the PRINCIPLE behind across the board tax cuts, rather than the principle that it's the GOVERNMENT's money and we're just lucky to get some of it back.
