soul21 said:Nobody? Well, i guess the applicant pool is going to be small this year which is fine by me 😀 . By the way my g.p.a is a 3.87 in biology, I wont have a degree though when I apply. I also plan on having all my prereqs complete except for organic 1 and 2, and speech. Does anybody think not having any of the organics done when the admission committee reviews my application will hurt my chances of admission?![]()
SunflowerTea said:It hurt mine. I had to complete Ochem and calculus and I didn't get my grades to them until Spring semester was over. They send me a rejection letter letter in April b/c they weren't able to review my application. So, I'll be applying again, but this time I've completed all the pre-req.
soul21 said:So they didnt review your application at all 😱 ? I thought all you needed was at least four science classes by december for them to review your application. I will have Anatomy and Physiology 1 and 2, chem 1, and microbiology when I apply in september, and hopefully cal 1 and chem 2 by the december application deadline. Is this not enough for them to at least review my application?
I will also be applying this next year. I have about a 3.7 prereq gpa and a B.A. in Sociology. I applied last yr also and did not even get an interview. I really believe its because i had so many classes still pending. Even though they say all they want is 4 science classes, I think it hurts you to not be near completion.mustangrolla said:I'll be reapplying to USN this year. I have a 3.3 science GPA and didn't get any interviews whatsoever. From what it seems like, USN is a pretty tough school to get into since everyone likes to apply to 3-yr schools. Just be aware, USN currently does NOT offer federal loans. I believe you have to apply for private student loans, so it might be tough finding $$ to pay for tuition.
jessicaeatworld said:but isn't it true that a lot of professional students don't get funding anyway?
BiOGoly said:No. The majority of professional students receive most if not all of their finacial aid in Stafford loans. Stafford loans are available regardless of assets or income. The only people who have to take out massive private loans are those attending schools that don't qualify for stafford or are attending the insanely overpriced privates like USC or NYU-dent: tuition+living= $75k/year 😱 !
