I was just wondering, who's applying to dental schools in order to change careers? I'm 27, finishing my PhD in developmental biology and I originally thought I was going to have a career in science, but changed my mind DRASTICALLY. Anyone else facing a similar situation? What are you currently doing and why are you changing fields?

You changed your mind as well? 😀 I am a little farther out than you are, though: I am 30 and been working as a postdoc the past three years.

Started as an engineer, then a Navy pilot, next I stayed home with my 4 kids & now I'm going for dentistry. I'll be 42 next month and my reason for the career change ..... short attention span!
