It looked about time to start a thread on where everyone's deciding to go. Maybe get in contact with future classmates etc .

So, I guess I'll go first: going to Ohio State, Class of 2011!

Cancelled my applications at Purdue, Penn, and Michigan State....

That's really funny ... I was going to start a thread about this yesterday. I will most likely be going to OSU, but I'm still waiting to hear from Penn (not too optomistic about that though).

I think we should add to it, why you decided to go to that school, just because I think that would be interesting

I'm pretty sure I'm going to OSU. I haven't actually sent in my deposit yet but I will soon. As soon as I was reasonably sure about my choice I withdrew my application from MSU via email. As luck would have it, on the day I made my decision, I recieved an interview invite from Penn. I called them right away to withdraw from the process in hopes that they would give my interview to another applicant.

For all of those who have gotten into some of your top choice schools, congratulations! I encourage you to think about the schools that you are still waiting to hear from. If you are not seriously considering attending one or more of those schools you might want to consider withdrawing your application to give another applicant the chance to interview there.

CSU was my top choice and I seriously thought it was a long shot trying to get in as an out of state applicant (especially since they don't interview out-of-staters). I sent my acceptance back the day it came in the mail hehehe (I'm such a dork). I have wanted to go to CSU since I was about 8 and went out there for a softball tournament, so location was part of it. The other part was the awesome program, the reputation, and the opportunities for internships and residencies within the college. They also opened the Equine Orthopedic Research Center a few years ago that I can't wait to volunteer at (and hopefully do my residency with ). Anyway, that's why I chose CSU!

I only applied to two schools, OSU and Penn. I only got in to OSU, which I guess makes my decision seem obvious, but I couldn't be happier to be going there. I currently attend OSU for undergrad, and overall I love the city and the school being so large, affords a student a lot of opportunities. The vet school is fantastic and everyone I have met has seemed extremely friendly.
