Who's interviewing at Lousiville on Oct 3rd?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
My interview date is October 3rd also! Do you know where you're going to stay? I'm not familiar with the Louisville area at all! I'd love some advice!

Where are you coming from? I booked my "vacation package" online which includes flight and hotel. I will be staying at Quality Inn and Suites Airport because they have shuttle to U of L. The whole package costs about $386 which is not too bad consider that my Case interview costs $500...

^ not bad at all. My plane ticket alone was $393 round trip. You picked the right place to stay... they were awesome. But if your plane gets in after 4pm, then you will have to take a taxi there... cost me $14.

Excellent rate, beautiful hotel. They have a computer with internet access in the lobby that you can use.

Here are some pictures that I took:

Louisville was a GREAT experience!

Good luck!

WOW! Thanks so much for the pictures!! I just can't wait! I have read so many positive feedbacks on U of L, I really hope that I will get in! One bad thing is that my flight arrives around 6 pm, that means i have to take a taxi?! Do they have other transportation to the hotel?

oh I have another question. Does the hotel provide shuttle from the school back to the hotel? Where did you put your baggage?

You'll check out in the morning and leave your baggages behind the counter with the clerk. As for shuttle, the Quality Inn does provide a shuttle to and from the school. Make sure you have a couple days to explore Louisville. It's a nice place. As for the interview, it's very laid back and friendly.

I would also recommend Quality Inn. I stayed at the Inn at Jewish, which was clean but not as nice the Quality Inn. Check out the Bardstown Rd. area and the Highland Coffee Co. if you like coffeehouses. Very cool area. Enjoy your day...Louisville rocks. 🙂

I just got back from Louisville and it was a great experience. I stayed with a friend but I heard a lot of good about the Quality Inn from some of the other guys in the group. There was another hotel in the area they said was pretty good too, but the rates were pretty much the same. Good luck there guys.

Beestie. Those are some nice stats! Did you interview at Louisville on 9/19? I interviewed on 9/19. Maybe we met.

I missed out on the Quality Inn! I stayed at a Clarion in Hurseborne(??). About 15 minutes East on I-64. I only paid $59 plus tax (Sunday rate).

Definitely a Top Rate school with great faculty. I was thoroughly impressed with their program.

Good Luck to everyone with future interviews.

thanks for all the information! I guess I might try to get a room at the Quality Inn also...I hope it's not booked since I'm arriving in less than 2 weeks!

I guess I'll see you MissingPolaris!
