I was just curious to know how many of you out there are currently on IUSD's alternate list. Just wanting to know who else is in my same shoes.

I am. Not to excited bout it cuase the in state list doesnt move. R u in state or out of state. And did you find your ranking out or do you just know your on the list??

I am on their out of state alternate list. I ranked closer to the top though and can't wait to get in.

Im 10. I dont really know how many are on the list but kasberg told me it prolly wouldnt move. Are you considering out of state somewhere else or gonna apply again next year if it doesnt work out?

I'm going to reapply next year b/c I want to go to Indiana. Since I was on the alternate list this year, Dr. Kasberg said my chances are very high to getting in next year. He said I would not need to retake the DAT or send new letters of rec., but that I should work in some dental capacity if I can. I still hoping for this year. I have already gone from seven to six in less than a week. So I'm hoping it will still happen this year.

You'll probably get in. I think the out-of-state list moves a lot more than the in-state. Let me know when you find out. 👍

Yeah, he told me id have an outstanding chance to get in next year also. He also told my friend on the waitlist the same thing. We both have other acceptances so we are weighing the decision to just take what we got or try again next year. Its a risk not to take the other offer cause id be pissed if i didnt get in next year, but its a tough decision.

havent called them since March 1st, when i heard my ranking on the alternate list. I dont like to bother schools by calling them.

Update:

No movement for out of state waitlist yet!!

local intrepretations: since schools send out more acceptance offers than the number of available spots, more than a couple of withdrawls are needed to make the waitlist move.

I spoke to Michelle yesterday and she said that I have been moved to #2 (makes nd7 #1). Congrats nd7 .... so that makes me #1 as of this morning!!
