Hey everyone! My university just got logged onto the Facebook and I'm wondering if any SDNers out there have it too. I have to admit, it is just as addicting as SDN is! You guys know what I'm talking about?

yah, we got it like 1/2 a yr a go i think...i think mcgill was the 1st canadian school.

it's an uber addiction. but sdn is worse though :laugh:

same here, I am on it but just because everyone else was raving so much about it so i had to sign up 🙂
 
I go to Truman State and we got it in February and I have been addicted ever since!

at first, i thought it was pretty elitist...when my school wasn't on it...then afterwards, i was like...yay i'm one of the cool kids now..
eat my heart out other Canadian unversity students (except UBC, mcgill & york).hahaha

Im a mad facebook addict, I even used it to find my hottie biology's teachers children to see if the hotness ran in the family.
 
haha, I love thefacebook. My school's had it for about a year or so I think, but I just got it this fall. It's very very addicting!

and yes, it is spreading rapidly, thats why earlier i was suggesting its use.
SDN should make a spacial deal withe them...!! (for us!)

you know whats funny.. we have probably spent more time with each other online this year than with some of our friends. how the world is quickly changing.

anyways it would be really interesting if i have can make couple of strong friendships from here🙂

I have an idea... GO to that link on there where it posts a link to your facebook profile to put on aim (under my account tab) and paste it here and we can add each other that way ?? 🙂

UMKC has a reserved admissions program where you can apply as early as your sophomore year of college. I applied and got accepted so I have a seat claimed in that class. Its a cool program

That's awsome 👍 Congrats! I didn't even know UMKC did that, I think Buffalo does that too, that is pretty cool.

And I guess my undergrad school (McMaster University) is not cool enough to be on facebook, we only have 20,000 undergrads 😕
We still kick major ass in sports though! Marauders are simply the best 👍 ( in Canada)

Well I play(ed) varsity rugby, and the last time we played Toronto, I think we won 73-12 😎 (with our 2nd string)
the last time we played football, the McMaster Murauders destroyed your Blues 77-14 😀

OK, I will stop here, but we are simply the best, facebook or no facebook.

i just created a group for sdners on the facebook..make sure u join!! im wondering can ii put a pic from the sdn website onto the facebook for the group's logo??? under the downloads there is the monkey one?? what about copywrites?? is it illegal?? oh and is there a problem if i name a group as "the student doctor network"??

I was under the impression that you could only join groups within your particular school.
 
on the facebook, try searching groups and type in the student doctor network and make sure u join it!! represent SDNERS!

ucla got facebook a while ago and i love it....its pretty cool...

one thing i would change thought is that you cant see other people's lists at other colleges.

its awesome.
 
Yeah, its a shame that the groups are only for specific colleges, it would be awesome to have a SDN group. I can't log onto facebook right now because they're updating my school, grr!! +pissed+ lol
