I think I'm falling into the "stopped caring" category, but I'm pretty sure I'll have to reapply next year, so that's part of the reason I don't care about this year anymore.

I've stopped caring too. I'm done with most of my interviews, and there's a full three months before I begin to hear back from schools. So I have to stop caring to maintain sanity. But the thing is, if I've stopped caring, why am i still addicted to this site?

DieselPetrolGrl, you should take up creative writing professionally. Its nice to see someone with a creative mind lurking around in these forums. Glad to see the premed science prerequisites haven't beaten it out of you! 👍

I think we should hold SDN awards around here (similar to MTV awards). DPG would win for best Artistic/Creative Personality. Peterock would win for being the Most Bitter MD applicant (hmmm....or perhaps he would tie with Megalofyia for the title). Dr. Chiquita would win for being the Most Phallic Applicant...
The applicant with the Most Original Name would go to...well, thats anyone's guess

I wish to god I could just stop caring. Although extremely burnt out, I nonetheless somehow find time/energy to check my e-mail 4-12+ times a day and feel stressed every time I think about the fact that I don't even have an interview yet. I have tried to tell myself it doesn't matter, but the fact is it does to me--very much.

its so awesome! and if u ask me about palladian arch or john donne i get all excited 🙂

My brain is fried, I can't concentrate for $*it, and writing a final paper for Western Civ seems like climbing Mount Everest..I don't think AdComs would look very favorable upon me if I told them that I went from a 4.0 (I'm not a gunner, I just study) to a 3.0 because I burned-out and ended up with antidepressants and zanax 🙄 . Any suggestions? Thanks!

i was looking at your profile and wow - how in the world did you manage to become the co-director of harvard emergency medical services?? people on sdn have a lot of amazing creds.

am i the only here is who isn't so into killing bunnies? i mean, liken the application process to whatever you want but i guess i have always thought of myself as the bunny and the adcoms as the ferocious predator. hence my (now corrupted) bunny avatar.

and yes, i am burned out also (but i somehow muster up enough anxiety every day about this process to drive my parents and boyfriend nuts). 👎
