Why are med schools so unwilling to schedule later interviews?

I have found that they are completely averse to even attempting to schedule interviews in January (after I graduate).

Its not like all their dates are filled up for those slots yet. They are perfectly willing to schedule me for the next 3 or 4 weeks, but those are precisely the worst times for me due to the absence policy at my school and my class commitments.

I'm going to have to cancel my Georgetown interview and my Ohio State interview because they are unwilling to do this. Basically if I get any further interviews and they cant reschedule for after graduation, I'm going to have to turn them down.

OK, I'm done ranting now.

Might I saw I hate Georgetown. They did the exact same thing to me. i couldn't leave school b/c I was teaching a class MWF and they told me tough S**T. I really hate them.

Can you guys write to the director or the dean who is responsible for student admissions?? I'm sure they would understand, while the staff is just working under some rules that can't be overridden.
