Why are so many people having problems with school administration?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
You seem irrationally upset with this. Sorry to ruin your Sunday. I'm not trying to walk anything back at all actually.
And yes that is what I said and my argument makes a lot more sense than yours, you have to be resigned to the possibility of being in primary care if you go DO. There is nothing false about this statement. Have a nice weekend

As I have mentioned in multiple threads, the odds of a DO grad going into PC are about 50% (higher at the oldest schools like KCOM and PCOM). Any prospective students should be aware of this.

Sometimes I put on that tinfoil hat I’ll be honest, usually when there is a 3 hour mandatory thing the Friday before a massive exam. Obviously don’t really believe it but sometimes I definitely wonder.

we had 6 hours of mandatory attendance for an unrelated thing the friday before two exams as well. Scheduling incompetence/insensitivity is not a DO only trait its a medical education trait .

Jeeze, you too? We did this last year to our students once or twice and they reamed a particular Dean a new rectal orifice. We don't schedule things like this anymore.

what is this power that students can have over deans?

Complain. You're a med student; it's your job to complain.

Yep. Without practice, how can medical students become the professional complainers that attending physicians are? It is our duty to complain loudly and often. I believe it’s somewhere in the Hippocratic oath.

Some examples “oh damn there’s such a long waiting list for a Tesla.” “houses in La Jolla are so overpriced.” “It’s so quiet, the practice is going to s***”. “It’s so busy I’m getting crushed.”

Believe It or Not, There are schools that have Dean's who are student-centric. I guess I am lucky enough to be located at one.

This is a guy who is so medical student centric that he goes to an np for his care and thinks of his students as entitled for all the hard work they put in.
