Mormons seem to be pretty mature people. Their two year missions in 3rd world countries seem to have a big part in that. My hat goes off to them, its a very noble task. The average college student would rather party in Cancun than help in Haiti.
At my last interview, all the Mormon interviewees actually brought their WIVES. They held hands throughout the interview.
Which makes me wonder, how come I've never seen or heard of a female Mormon dental applicant?
At my interview, there was one female applicant from the east coast who clearly represented the modern-day woman. Intelligent, independent, and not afraid to speak her mind. The mormon wives, were exactly the same age as the female applicant, but they sat quietly and looked to their husbands to speak. They reminded me of Japanese women. Appeared as if their role is to stay at home, raise kids, and support their husbands. I'm not saying its a bad thing. I just hope they're happy.

LOL, you could....but just saying that definately won't make up a bit if you don't have good DAT scores and GPA's. With those, a well rounded background, and a good personality, you have just as good a shot as anyone.can we pretend to be mormoms so we have a better chance of admission

P.S. There do happen to be many female mormon applicants!

Be careful with this. Wives are OK to bring to town, but I'm not sure I would bring them to the interview unless the school specifically makes provisions for this during the interviews. Many of the wives brought to interviews at my school seemed to be there because they were "motherly" towards the husband and needed to approve. Made you wonder if they would come to class and object to the difficult test questions. I'm sure most weren't actually like that, but that was definately the feeling most of them projected at interviews.briansle said:Do you bring your wife to your interviews too? Make sure you two hold hands. You crazy kids. 😉

if you don't think being a mom at home and being there for your kids is important take a survey at your local prison to see how many inmates didn't have parents around.
(i come from a single parent family myself)

If you like that you should try it summer term. Sometimes i wonder if she has any type of feelings whatsoever. I saw her on campus and tried to make eye contact and say hi, but she didn't acknowledge that someone had just walked past her.TimR said:so many cougars here.... there's nothing like starting your day with a 3 hour dose of hinshaw
