Just wondering why AADSAS can't have the CDA & ADA send DAT scores directly to it? Then AADSAS can just forward the official score report to the dental schools along w/ the rest of the application. Then we wouldn't have to pay for sending a score report to each dental school. Why can't we just pay for the 1 score report to AADSAS, since having the CDA & ADA send the report to AADSAS would make it official anyways.

Simple! Because they would be losing all of that money. They aren't about to surrender those profits to better suit students applying.

They're switching over that this year. If you've seen the discussion on the board, there's been a lot of confusion about whether you still need to send an official DAT score from the ADA.

The conclusion seems to be that some schools will require an extra copy, and some schools will not. AADSAS is meeting with the ADA to determine what's going on. People are calling the schools directly and asking if they'll need an extra copy. This is the best bet for you in terms of covering your bases and saving money.

wow if thats going to be the case then thats great. not only will your app be more complete but it will be processed faster too. If I have to pay only once then thats awesome cuz laster year i spent $800 just for dat scores.
