Hello,

I am a student applying to dental school this cycle. I have created an account in advance that way I can get my reference letter writers to put my AADSAS # on the letters of recommendations.

When I tried to log in this morning, my ID and password were not working. So I assumed I needed to make a new account. But if I do make a new account, that means I will get a new AADSAS # which means I will have to get every single one of my reference letter writers to update the new AADSAS #; the problem is that most of them are not currently in office so that might be extremely difficult to do.

Is there any way that I can go about this problem?

Thank you,

I'm not sure but I'm thinking that if you had already opened an account prior to today then it would technically have been for last cycle...I have never reapplied so I'm not sure, but maybe you have to start with a new AADSAS number/account each cycle? I guess it would be best to let someone else with experience weigh in...

Yep, I believe you need a new account each cycle. It looks like you can recover most things from your old application if you already submitted the aadsas fee last year though.

thanks guys.

but what about the letters of recommendations and the old AADSAS number that I gave to my instructors which they wrote on my application?

:scared:

I suppose I'd be contacting them with your new AADSAS number...but you're not planning on having them upload the letters themselves? If you are, then when you put their email addresses into AADSAS it'll automatically send them an email with instructions on how to upload your LOR...so then they wouldn't even need your AADSAS number.

Did you apply last cycle? If you just filled out but not submitted and paid the fees then nothing save. You have to do all over again.
