Did the 2 students who left, leave for personal reasons or academic reasons? Did anyone in your class fail the year? Thanks.

One classmate left for health reasons--they developed a severe case of carpal tunnel syndrome. So severe that they had to attempt drilling with their left hand, even though they are right-handed. This person was in excellent academic standing.

The other one (Dinonuggets) left for personal reasons and is preparing to go to school elsewhere. For this person the atmosphere was a little bit too non-traditional. This person did well in the program, however, and was in good academic standing and was elected to be a class officer.

Both of them were unique individuals and our class is a little more bland without them. I have no doubt that each of them will be very successful in their future endeavors.

Nobody failed the year, which is always good news. 😀

kato999 and Dr. Nubbs, care to post any more on this subject? You guys may have perspectives that I don't have.

You always provide honest and quick responses.
Thanks Again.

Gavin,
Carpal tunnel in your first year...is that common? And do you or any dentists on the board know if it is common among practicing dentists?

Thanks.

This was an existing condition for my classmate, and all the typing on the computers, etc., seemed to aggrevate the injury.

It wasn't due to the drilling.
