Why do ODs and OMDs hate each other?

From my experience, they do not and they highly respect each other. Unfortunate if you’ve seen a negative experience yourself.

To answer the question from what I heard years ago, someone hates that the other "steals" their patients. I want to guess that OD hates OMD because OMD can prescribe glasses as well, but don't quote me lol. I've seen a lot of good sportsmanship between the two, though. Ask the ophthalmology page.
