So then you didn't understand the text you quoted at all. Got it.
Go back and reread it. It's ok, we'll wait.
Pass.

@AsclepiusMD,My post was meant to reflect the fact that if one believes in a certain cause/sentiment/value, that it is hypocrisy to criticize another entity, be it a person or group of persons, for holding those same sentiments.

A phrase you might as well get used to seeing on your transcripts with that kind of reading comprehension.

There's a difference between AMA and AMSA. That being said most doctors work thru their medical specialty organizations, esp. since the AMA betrayed doctors for their payout from CPT codes. With regards to joining AMA or not, I'd rather be at the table than on the menu. Whether you like it or not, the AMA is your public voice. What else is a blue collar worker going to think the "American Medical Association" means? If people like you and me who realize that the medical profession is getting screwed in more ways than humanly possible, decide to opt out of membership and participation, we might as well dig our own graves. I say, participate, rise up and take over, otherwise, don't be a keyboard warrior.
In the meantime, the AMA-MSS will continue to pass crucial legislation, like regulating the comfort of mulch on playgrounds to prevent pediatric trauma (give me a break)

Things are really bad when even Bill Maher's show says it's a bad lobbying group:
