The forum was created because there is someone here who can answer questions about the field: Dr. Oliver is a plastics fellow who is also a moderator on SDN.
And because we were getting tons of questions about the field. Seemed natural to create a forum for it since we had an available Moderator.
If other Mods are available for other surgical subspecialties, they will be considered for their own forums too.

Jesus, even SDN is "specializing"...
Considering it probably takes a solid year of posting to gain moderator status, SDN should get this 'moderator fellowship' ACMGE/AOA accredited. 😛

Thanks for the vote of confidence, but I barely have time to check my emails during the week and have time to kill on the internet only on the weekends when I'm post call! 🙂
Very true- I'm sure the phrases free time and neurosurgery resident are not synonymous with one another...
But as a grad student looking at a possible career in the neurosciences, I really appreciate your comments and feedback and the insight that you bring to your chosen profession. Thanks for killing some time with us in the surgery forum...
