Aren't sGPA and BCPM GPA the same thing? And doesn't AMCAS use BCPM GPA? Is it just because sGPA is shorter or...?
Why does the phrase sGPA even exist?

sGPA = AMCAS BCPM GPA = AACOMAS sGPA

It's a shortcut which doesn't take as long to type out. But using it that way can be a cause of confusion for newbies, as the sGPA for AACOMAS doesn't include math and the BCPM GPA for AMCAS and TMDSAS does. Also, AACOMAS considers many other courses as "science," so they can't be looked on as equivalent.
