Hi everyone,

I'm just curious as to why you all are interested in persuing pathology as a specialty.

I'm in my 3rd year of university and I'm a pre-vet student, but I intend on getting a PhD in pathology or pathobiology after my DVM degree. The process of becoming a veterinary pathologist is a little different than in human medicine, but I'm just interested in what is attracting you to the field.

Thanks!

Many may claim its because the patients do not talk back in Pathology 😀 which I guess is a mute point in the world of animals!

I liked Path because it was the specialty with the "ultimate answer" to the question (in most of the cases). Also it serves as the bridge between basic sciences and clinical practice and fills in any gap left by the clinicians and radiologists.
