Hello, I'm relatively new in considering pharmacy as a career and was wondering how you decided that pharmacy was the way for you.

thanks

When I was pro-pharmacy for me it was a few things:

Salary
Schedule
Academic challenge

In the end, I chose medicine over pharmacy. But for my girlfriend, pharmacy is perfect for what she wants.

jp, what does your girlfriend want? Is it a 'i want time to have a family' thing? That is one reason I would choose pharmacy over medicine. Just wondering if any one is thinking the same.

I second mimi. =) I want to have 4 kids, including a set of twins. Is that too much? lol....

I'll third that 😀

One reason I am definitely leaning towards pharmacy over medicine is the lifestyle difference, including the 4 years of training v. the 4 + residency in medicine.

Lifestyle...more flexible schedule and decent paycheck.

Plus she will have me to bring home the big bucks. 🙂
