This was an eye opener. I did'nt realize how much more expensive it was to have the AOA accredit a residency program then the ACGME.

Kind of silly how different the costs are. Gotta admit that I was impressed with Geisinger when I interviewed there. They have some good programs and residents there.

I would think the AOA would want to make it easy for programs to be dually accredited--that would be the ideal place for me to train. It expands your options while allowing for you to still be a part of osteopathy. Is it just me, or can they be really stupid sometimes?

I'm not sure i understood the thing to well.

Is it basically that its costs hospitals more to have DO residents?

I didn't get a lot of the lingo because i'm not up there yet.
