These forums love midlevels to do cheap labor, working with "simple cases" (this is so BS), etc... Every year their role descriptions in their associations website seems to basically describe the function of physicians. PA association wants to be called Physician Associates. NP are gaining independent practice rights. Why the heck are we so complicit with that? Other countries practice perfectly without them, so I see no use or need for midlevels.
Then we have adcoms defending them like @Goro. He works as an adcom promoting students to get 250k in debt while defending midlevels in everyway he can. How can you guys have an ounce of respect for this dude?
We must do something or we're going to end just acting like supervisors (supervising 3-5 midlevels) and with a ****ty job market.
