Are the new TPR books inferior to the Hyperlearning series?

I saw that the Hyperlearning books are available on Amazon, but the price is very steep!

Are they worth it?

no.
You want the ones that say review after them. not the cracking ones. http://www.amazon.com/Biology-Review-Graduate-School-Preparation/dp/0375427929/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1359953521&sr=1-2&keywords=princetonreview+mcat

these are the ones that they get in the class. the hyperlearning ones are older (only dif is added color+ summary questions in the review ones). also, the verbal workbook and sci workbook of the hyperlearning series aren't included in the review series and are class-only.

I don't believe there's a difference between the review books (could be wrong though, I never used them). When people on here talk about TPRH, they're referring to the verbal and science workbooks which are only available to people signed up in TPR's courses, or second-hand on eBay, craigslist, etc. and typically fetch $100+ each. They're worth it though. You won't find better verbal or bio practice anywhere else. In addition, the orgo, gen chem, and physics passages and discretes are second only to TBR's stuff.

Spent a year or so biding my time, ending up nabbing unmarked TPRH Verbal and Science Workbooks for $65 each. 😎

That's really funny because that's about what I got mine for as well. It took me three months to find an eBay auction that finally had them listed at a remotely sane price and I ended up getting the two together for $140 along with the in-class compendium, a review pamphlet, and a letter welcoming me to TPR's online prep course because apparently someone thought that was necessary to include
