What is so great about Michigan and the Dental School?

Anyway, I'll give you two reasons. Big time research and Wolverines football

don't forget driving on michigan roads. a recent poll in one of our newspapers stated that the best vehicle for driving in michigan was a tank.

i know someone who was in the top 50% of their class at Michigan and got into an oral surgery residency.....if you want to specialize, then Michigan is for you.....

I do not want to specialize or do research.

I am interested in public health and want to start a free clinic - is Michigan going to be able to help me with that? Their website doesn't give much information about clinical outreach programs or elementary school dental education. I am looking for things along these lines.

you have to reference me if you use my reasons: clinical, research, specializing, and proximity to home/ann arbor location.

being associated with the wolverines would be tight, my family is a bunch of maize and blue freaks. but i'm not sure that'd be a sufficient reason for adcomms.

Actually I went to the website to find out "news" about UM and found just what I wanted!

The do have good Community Service Learning opportunities with migrant farm workers and elementary students just as I had hoped!!

I hope your dreams come true!

im a student here at UM dental, and I love it! Top three reasons: amazing clinical, amazing research--and the professors that do it and lecture u, and of course Michigan Football and the entire Ann Arbor scene

You need to do a little bit of research and find out what about Michigan really interests you. Why just read off of the laundry list you got from here? Let's say you tell them you like their research program and the city. What if they ask you "what about their research program do you like?" or "what about the city interests you?" You can't answer back, that was what you heard from SDN. 😛 Find some honest reasons as to why you would want to go to Michigan. You'd have more to talk about during the interview if you did.

The University of Michigan Dental School is amazing! Few reasons....integrated clinics, amount of clinical experience, faculty to student ratio, facilities such as the simulation lab, respect, precentage of individuals who get in to speciality programs, community outreach programs, etc. Also, if you are a michigan resident it is a reasonable price since it is a public school compared to others. 👍


Hands down...if I get in to the UMICH, i'll def be going! 😉

Two words: Bell's Beer. Since I no longer live there, I now have to make yearly trips to philadelphia to one of the few out of state places that sells it by the bottle. I must savor every drop of the sweet nectar that is Bell's Porter. Go, and drink, and partake of the manna of the earth.

Oh, and I'm sure it's a good tooth school too and stuff.
