"Why us" questions

Hi all,
For those "why us?" Questions on schools' supplemental, are they more about me or more about the school? For example, should I be talking about my qualities or the schools specific programs?

Not sure how to tackle those questions because they seem quite pointless?

both. Why do you think you will succeed at the school + how will the school help you become succesful.
Example, does the schools excellent clinics help you become a good general dentist ? or does the research supplement your passion for research and tie in with your research experience ?
Its not a very hard question, but is challenging when we sometimes overthink it.

Give reasons you like the schools and reason so why you would be a good fit there

Kind of what Michael_Scott said, and I would add to take a look at their mission statements and any cool/unique programs they might have. If any value they have, like service, research, class size, etc. jumps out at you, elaborate why you would benefit from and be a benefit to that specific thing. Go beyond like "I think it'd be fun to live in SF" or whatever
