Has anyone heard from Widener or Arcadia?

My cousin received a conditional acceptance letter from them on January 28th. I didn't apply there so I can't tell you much more.

Those are my 2 top schools and I haven't heard anything from them! I'm really anxious and nervous that because other people have heard back that I won't be accepted 🙁

I received an acceptance letter from Widener during the second week of December

i got my acceptance letter from widener jan 18th and i haven't heard from arcadia at all yet. good luck!

I heard back from arcadia yesterday and unfortunately I got rejected.

I just heard from Arcadia and was told I was on the waitlist. They did not tell me how many people are on it or what position I am though.

Me too and it was the most confusing packet: one page about being on the waitlist, a second page saying congrats on your acceptance and scholarship that we are offering you, a third page to pay the deposit, and a fourth page to accept the scholarship. Really, just for the waitlist that was a lot of info...and so confusing!

I called the admissions office, and they stated that the waitlist position is determined on when you placed your deposit

they put all that stuff in the packet, even if your waitlisted, because that way if you come off the waitlist and get into the program, they have all your info on file like your scholarship, work program, etc. so they arent scrambling to get it in

I can understand why they do it- the process seems endless for schools in figuring out who they want, who they want to waitlist, who's actually coming, etc- its just so different from other schools. If I were accepted to Arcadia I would definitely secure a spot, but at this point being on the waitlist makes me just want to stay excited about where I'm already planning on going.

Well March 14th is the next deadline for students to make their second deposit. So if someone doesnt make their deposit that day, then you might get a call. So keep your ears open on March 14th 🙂

Haha, I got the exact same packet. I wonder if that means they are giving scholarships to everyone matriculating...
