Hi everyone, I'm OMS-I looking to improve my performance in class. Right now we're unranked and P/F and I'm passing exams, but barely. Obviously take with a grain of salt but I would estimate myself at 30th percentile. I have my eye on psychiatry or IM so I don't need "competitive" scores but I'd like to be the best student I can be. I can accept being lower ranked but I'm not sure I'm studying efficiently.

I currently make my own anki decks and study for 5-6 hours per day. This is actual study time- I use a timer and pause it when I take breaks. I make it through about 500 cards a day. I don't go to lecture anymore but I use the recorded lectures if I'm having trouble understanding a concept while I make the cards.

I've been to our learning specialist a couple of times. She gives some great advice and some advice that I don't trust as much.

My school gets UWorld for us in second year. I've been wondering if I should start looking into Boards and Beyond or Pathoma and their accompanying premade anki decks. (I don't really "get" Sketchy) What have your all's experiences been with these resources for improving class performance and board scores?

Sketchy is legit. Sketchy micro is indispensable. I personally like pharm and path as well, but some people don't seem to like those as much.

You could try using a premade Anki deck based off BB or Pathoma rather than making your own cards
