Thanks for all the advice.
However I looked hard around boston area. The programs that I have looked(BU, Tufts, Brandeis) require GPA of about 3.3 as well as being $$$$? Another idea that I've been considering is going for the Certificate in Public Health at the extension school in Harvard. It requires 8 courses. The core courses are
NSCI E-161 Intro Epidemiology
NCSI E-162 Human Pathophysiology I
STAT E-102 Intro to Biostatistics
One of the Core management courses from the 3 courses below:
CSS E-120 Public management
CSS E-140 Strategic Management in Healthcare Organizations
CSS E-325 Financial Management in Healthcare

The electives include
BIOL E-169c Immunology I
BIOL E-169d Immunology II
BIOL E-172 Biological Perspectives on HIV and AIDS
BIOL E-176a Human Physiology I
BIOL E-176b Human Physiology II
BIOL E-201 Topics in Microbiology and Infectious Diseases
NSCI E-105/W Current Topics in Medicine
PHIL E-167 Biomedical Ethics
NUTR E-103 Issue and Nutritional Problems of Mothers and Children

First question is it easy to be admitted to certificate programs at Harvard(for those at the extension school)?

Also how heavy should the course load be? I read 3 courses. The thing is I have to be careful due to my previous poor record. I don't want to put myself in a position that yes the load will prove the admissions people that I have the rigorous transcript but I have mediocre grades. Am I just worrying too much especially since it was 10+ yrs ago since my last natural science course.

Also for the people at Harvard, how are the science course(prereqs like Physics)? It's just awkward that they would have lab included as one course, most institutions this would count as 1.5 courses. I haven't gotten an answer as to the admissions considering 1.5 course or just 1 course.

I know this is getting a bit repetitious especially with the 2nd question but I needed to get assurances since I really don't have
the luxury of "advising" (which probably will not give me a helpful assessment judging from some of the comments from the people who went to advisors with GPA<3.0).

Also last but not least will this certificate be acceptable instead of registering a master and since I probably won't get into post bacc with all those GPA requirements😡 at other schools. I am thinking of starting off with the prereqs for predental then applying for this certificate program while I am taking the prereqs (they do allow for that in the bulletin). Also the courses have the option of registering as a grad student with higher tuition.
