I was complete at NSU-COM since mid-August but have heard nothing back from them. No hold or II email's... total silence.
Do you think a letter of intent or an in-the-area email will help get me an II?

In the area I feel would be in bad taste. Most interest letters are effective if you have something else to add.

No, it won't do anything for you, unless you've been waitlisted.

If a guy says to a really hot chick "But I'll really respect you in the morning", do you think he'll get her into the sack?????

If you want to get their attention, send them a six figure donation check.

An MD who writes five figure checks to their alma mater a few times a year offered to write me an LOR and make some calls. Should I take their offer, or does the six figure check have to be in one lump? 😉

What about a five figure donation to Goro? Would that suffice? 🙂

Nova really loves large checks and will name a bench, sidewalk, tree, etc after you... lol

In all seriousness, this can land you an interview. If you're not competitive, then you're get a very polite spot on the wait list, followed by a very polite rejection.
