Will adcoms see prior UG apps

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Yes, all transcripts get submitted to the app service.

I believe the OP is asking if the medical school adcom can see undergrad applications that have been submitted to same parent university. And the answer to that is only in extremely rare instances.

2011 has come back to haunt me
There was a thread in the past few months where an acceptee to a state med school who had previously applied to (but did not attend) associated UG school and who had described some HS disciplinary issue was now required by medical school to get letter from HS for "good standing." This was the only time I heard of a medical school reaching back to UG which in turn reach back to HS. My guess as a state university and having discipline issue, they were required to follow thru. Again, possible but is a rare occurrence
Thanks! The reason im asking is I am filling out a transfer application half assed cause transferring isnt really a priority and I dont want adcoms to see my half assed attempt

Either fill it out right or dont freaking fill it out. Do you want to be the one guy this happens to 3 years from now
This is a good point. It’s more so that I have no real academic reason to transfer and can’t make one up so the PS for the app will be aweful for me

I'm unfamiliar with the undergrad transfer application, but are other circumstances (financial reasons, family issues, maybe even increased extracurricular opportunities?) not a valid reason for wanting to transfer?

It’s social reasons... even at a very large school can’t find a good group of people which is bleeding into my academic motivation... transfer app is to a slightly
Lesser academic school
Where I already know a few people

Does this new school you want to go to have a medical school you will want to apply to? If not you're fine, they're the only institution that will see your app, it won't get disseminated during the application process.

Edit: Also consider that while other schools won't have your app, they can and will consider your transfer and the stated reasons for it during the application process, and don't be surprised to have to explain yourself during an interview. This is especially true for a transfer from a "better" to a "worse" undergraduate program by reputation.
