But I have a concern. My top choice is UNLV. So much so that I will automatically decide to go there if accepted, despite any other acceptances I might receive. Also, based on past numbers, it seems that UNLV would be my best chance of getting accepted since I'm a NV resident.

Out of State-
Applied: 2767
Accepted: 67

In State-
Applied: 151
Accepted: 57

So I'm trying to find a balance between being responsible by applying to enough schools to get in somewhere, and not wasting money on applying to too many schools, when my best chance for getting in is also my top choice. I haven't taken the DAT yet, but my GPA is 3.78 overall, 3.70 science.

What would you do?

You should do a search, you should be fine with your stats, just own the DAT and apply early, you should get right into that school but with everything you need a backup plan
