Does the LOR have to be submitted in order for the primary to be verified?
I won't have my LOR in until end of July, but I am pretty much done with everything else.

Taking the August MCAT, my application won't be completed until a month after the MCAT.

How would the LOR delay verification process? I know there usually a 6-8 weeks waiting time if you submitted after mid-July.

any help will be appreciated.

AMCAS doesn't deal with LORs. You send those to individual schools after your AMCAS app has been sent to them.

LOR's are sent to the schools once secondaries are sent to you. No need to worry now, just get them prepared to send to the schools.

Agreed. No worries about them holding up your verification. But they can really be a thorn in your side when it comes to having your secondary files completed. So definitely stay on top of them.

Can't second this enough. LORs are the one area of the processing your app that is largely out of your control. Set deadlines for your writers and keep on top of them (with diplomacy and a gentle stick, mind you...).
