Hello everyone! I’m in the process of applying to dental schools and already submitted my application on June 18th. I took the DAT in late June, but I’m planning to retake it again in late August/early September. I also just realized that my scores will automatically be sent to the schools I selected when I registered for the DAT.
Do you know if schools typically wait for my new retake scores before making a final decision if I notify them? Or will they proceed with evaluating my application based on the first DAT score I submitted? If not, should I hold off on paying the supplemental application fees until after I retake the test and receive my new scores? Also, has anyone applied this late and still got accepted?
I’d really appreciate any insights or advice you might have! Thank you!
