I'm a high school junior with an odd situation. I'm currently enrolled in an early college program at SPC as a full time student. By the time I'm 18 I will have completed my A.A. as well as finished my high school requirements. I pretty confident that I would like to become a pharmacist but because of the program, I'm extremely confused on how my admission process will work.
I would love to enter a 0+6 program, however since I will have a degree, can I be qualified? Or should I complete my pre-pharm reqs before I leave this program? My fear with that though, is since it is a community college, universities may not count the classes as being equivalent to their standards. Also since the pre-pharm reqs. differ program to program, I may not be qualified for multiple programs and be limited to my choices. And lets say I do chose that route and complete my pre-pharm reqs. and do not get accepted into a pharmacy program, then what would I do after that? Retake the courses? Major in something else?
I'm in a rush to find out my options because I already have to choose my spring classes this month & I need to know what to take. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you so much,
