I just took the DAT.

PA 20
QR 15
RC 18
Bio 19
GC 20
OC 17
TS 19
AA 18

Business Major, only took basic pre-reqs. GPA 3.4 BCP GPA 3.7
Applied to 13 schools, will fax scores on Monday. QR is pretty low!!

Will I get in somewhere?

Also, do dental schools see percentiles on the DAT scores that they are sent? Because my print out has the percentiles. Is it ok to fax this paper to them or will it hurt me?

QR is 37%
RC is 38%

everything else is ok.

Every school I've called and talked to have told be the same thing about QR. They don't really give a crap. Well.. accept for Pacific, and they want at least a twenty in everything. You've got a solid gpa, but you're applying pretty late. The rest of your scores are good, but not great. All I can say is good luck. Applying late as a less than stellar applicant is very risky to say the least.

Well then it might not be so bad for ya. I've heard of people getting interviews before their dat scores were recieved. However, some schools won't even touch your app until they have everything ie transcripts, LOR's, and DAT scores. I know it sounds harsh, but I'm just trying to be real with you man, no sense blowing smoke up your... well you get the idea.

I too scored a 15 on the QR and I could care less. I had no problem getting serveral interviews and acceptances and this should not hold you back. Best of luck!

which may take 3 weeks!! i wonder what kind of mail they send the DAT scores with.

I agree that QR is the least important. That was my lowest score (18) and have been interviwed.

yeah, but, uh, if 18 was your lowest score, you of course are going to get interviews...


but to the OP... yeah, assuming your GPA is >3.0 and you aren't a complete tool in the interview, you will get accepted somewhere.
