Hi guys, just graduated with a degree in Economics. 3-4 years ago before I transferred out to a 4 year university, I took some science courses at a CC and did poorly to the tune of a C and a D in o-chem, then a B and a C in general chemistry. I am retaking pre req classes now at a CC to boost science gpa and once replacements are accounted in I will end up with a science gpa of a 3.75 and an overall of 3.75. Haven't taken the Mcat yet but was wondering if schools will look down on the fact that all science courses were taken at a community college, the majority of which were knocked out in two semesters and replaced those from several years ago?

Some schools require a few upper division science courses, and some schools strongly recommend them. I think it's fine to have the courses from a CC, but make sure to look at any upper div. science courses that are recommended or required for the schools you're looking into.

great thanks for the feedback. Also had a question regarding grade replacement. If i took the general chemistry sequence at one CC then only retook the first part at another CC and did not retake the second part, will the grade for General Chem I still be replaced if it was taken at another CC? In other words is it ok to have the Gen Chem sequence have the first part taken at another CC and the second at another?

Yes I believe that's fine. Just make sure to label everything the correct way on the application (which one is your "first repeat 01" and your "last repeat 01"). I think as long as you label it as such, then when they verify it, it'll be fine.

Yes, that's fine. Make sure the number of credits is equal or greater though.
