I just transferred to a small satellite campus of my very large state school, so my class selection is much more limited. I'm trying to figure out my schedule for next semester, and had some questions about the chemistry courses.

I understand that the chemistry for "non-science" majors won't count towards the pre-reqs. During the spring semester, only "principles of chemistry 2" is offered, not principles of chemistry 1.

However, intro to chemistry is offered. The course description doesn't list that it is for "non science" majors, and it is part of a 2 class sequence. After you take intro to chem, you take "Chemistry related to life sciences".

Organic chemistry 1 at my school requires you complete the principles of chem 1/2 sequence OR the intro to chem/chem related to life sciences before enrolling. So to take organic, you don't need principles of chem 1/2.

What do you guys think? this "intro to chem" satisfies the pre-req to take organic chemistry 1.

I really doubt that will fly.
At my university, intro to chem counted for NOTHING for my major. (class was such a joke anyway)

Back in my undergrad, that doesn't fly. Intro doesn't cover the same material. Stop thinking about med school as just meeting prerequisites. You actually need to learn so the mcat is easier and you do well.

Agreed about the material.
My intro to chem class only taught up to stoichiometry.
