Hey guys, looking for your opinions on my grades this semester. My overall gpa and sGPA is around a 3.5 after my first 4 years of undergrad. I'm currently taking physics and ochem right now and will take biochem in the summer or next fall. In physics I'm expecting to get an A but my Ochem got a little wacky. The lecture portion which is 3 credits I will most likely have a B after the final but the lab portion was going fine until I messed up the time of the online final and completely missed taking it (I thought it opened the following day). Subsequently I will receive a C in what should have been an easy A. I'm not really concerned about the C bringing down my GPA too much as I have a lot of cushion after 4 years of credits but I'm concerned about how it will look to adcoms. Does a one credit C make me appear much less appealing to adcoms in the sense of it being a downward trend and will a strong showing in Ochem 2 help alleviate this mistake? Thanks guys.

Yeah my GPA is what I'm worried about. I got my degree as a BSN and the grading scale for the nursing program was like a 93% for an A so my gpa dropped like 0.3-0.4 during my 2 and a half years in the program from all the borderline B's I got.

At my U the standard is 90% for an A in most courses so it was raised a little bit. But I hear ya

93% for an A is not atypical.
It depends on whether the school has +/- designation in addition to the letter grades. If OP went to a school where there is no A- letter grade and a B starts at a 92, that is very atypical.

My UG does not use +/- designations
